Urriðafoss

Urriðafoss, Trout Falls, is a small beautiful waterfall
situated in the Jökulsárgljúfur nature preserve.
An almost unknown and little visited place
of peace and quiet, the name attests to
the use our forefathers had from the river,
which is called Melbugsá.
The stamp was issued in 1983 with a face value of 5 krónur.
Artist: Þröstur Magnússon
Printed in Heliogravure by Courvoisier.
