Ringed Plover Eggs - Sandlouegg

A Ringed Plover nest in the sand ringed with small stones and broken shells. The eggs are 4 in number, and to protect the nest the Ringed Plover will run with one wing touching the ground faking an injury in order to draw the intruder away from the nest.

The stamp was issued in 1967 with a face value of 4 krónur + 50 aurar.
