The Snæfellsjökull glacier has always been considered
a magical spot, elves, fairies and trolls having their abodes there.
The setting for the start of Jules Verne Journey to the Centre of the Earth.
Height 1446 metres.

Dritvík (Guano Inlet) was for centuries a large
fishing center, 3-400 fishermen having their
base there for the season.
