The Wigeon is a resident or migratory bird in Iceland,
part of the stock going to southern climates for the winter
but another part moves down to the coast during the winter months.
The stamp shows a female flanked by two drakes.
Length is about 47 cms - about 18 inches.

The stamp was issued in 1990 with a face value of 21 krónur.
