The White Wagtail is a migrant in Iceland, arriving in the spring, and leaving for warmer climates in the autumn. The White Wagtail nests near human habitation and where insects can be expected, e.g. near rivers or sea cliffs. Length is about 19 cms - about 8 inches.
The stamp was issued in 1986 with a face value of 6 krónur.
