Skógarþröstur - Redwing Turdus iliacus

The Redwing is both a resident and a migrant, but it is a minority that winters in Iceland. The Redwings can be seen diving into a tree grove late at night for sleeping on the branches. Length is about 21 cms - about 8 inches.
