Grafönd - Pintail
Anas acuta

The Pintail is a migratory bird in Iceland, coming here for the summer to lay eggs and raise its young, the main breeding grounds are in the Northern and North-eastern parts of Iceland. The stamp shows two drakes, which are more colourful than the females.
Length of the drake is about 70 cms - about 27 inches,
and that of the female about 54 cms - about 21 inches.
The stamp was issued in 1986 with a face value of 10 krónur.
