Heiðagæs - Pink-footed Goose
Anser brachyrhynchus

A migratory bird in Iceland the Pink-footed Goose,
shown here with young goslings, is a social species,
congregating in large colonies.
The migratory flights of the geese are legendary,
with their V-formation flying.
Length is about 70 cms - about 28 inches.

The stamp was issued in 1990 with a face value of 80 krónur.
