Jesse Blue




Graduation is a night in which we celebrate what we have achieved in terms of our academic career but for Dahlia Crede, Bill Lewis and Michelle Bauer, Graduation was a night that affected them in a very different way. For Dahlia, it was a victorious night since her mother had stopped working as a prostitute and managed to get a job working for Griffin Williams, For Bill it was a night to remember since he was Valedictorian and had his father, stepfather and big sister represent him as he made the valedictory speech but for Michelle it was a sad night. Her father was in Africa doing research, Rick and Abby were doing last minute duty at the Hospital and although Aunt Meta and Phillip Spaulding, a longtime family friend were there for her, it wasn't the same.

So on the night of the Graduation Party, she went on the rough side of town where she met a guy named Jesse Blue, who was part Spanish-Part Irish. He lived in a run-down apartment where he worked as a mechanic repairing motorcycles. He didn't have much in terms of dollars and cents but he was tough and street-wise and knew how to survive. The fact is he had no choice, his father was an alcoholic still bitter over the loss of his beloved wife who had feelings of rage and bitterness towards The Bauer Clan. It seemed that during Ed's drinking days, he was scheduled to operate on Mrs. Blue but because the Hospital fired him due to his addiction, the couldn't perform the operation and as a result she died. To give Ed credit, he took the heart of his beloved wife Maureen and gave it to Jesse during a Heart Transplant Operation.

What started out as an acquaintanceship soon turned to love. Jesse even learned how to read with Michelle's patience and help and she even used some tactful guidelines when she used Motorcycle Mama Magazines to get him interested. However, her longtime friend Bill Lewis was extremely jealous over Michelle's feelings for Jesse and used every opportunity to put him down. Yet when her big brother Rick forbade her to see him because of his background, Michelle refused and as a result a tragedy occurred. Abby, her future sister in law, went to the garage to find Jesse and was attacked by some of the town's "Homeboys" and although she wasn't raped, the damage was done. To add to the frustration, Michelle became blind when a fire started destroyed the House in which Reva, Josh and their children were living in at the time. She became blind and went to an institution and Jesse followed her there. He called himself "Carlos" and spent time with her and when she got her eyesight back, they were both estatic. Yet another person started to come between them.

Her name was Drew Jacobs, the only child of a multi-million record producer who tried to use her money, and beauty to get Jesse interested in her but to no avail. As time went on, Jesse even used his talent as an Artist to create some special pictures of Michelle but when they were shown at the annual "Bauer Barbecue", the two young lovers were embarassed and angry. As time went on, their love for each other was cemented to the point that they consummated the relationship on New Year's Eve 1997. They weren't meant to be however and Danny Santos proved that. Danny and Michelle fell in love, leaving Jesse to fall for Drew. Months later, Jesse was offered a job in New York and left with Drew to start an exciting new life.
