Cameron Stewart

Cameron Stewart, played by Ian Ziering, joined Guiding Light in 1986 and left in 1988. When he arrived in Springfield, he got involved with Dinah Marler. Their affair was pretty innocent though, they didn't even sleep together. In 1987, Lacey Bauer arrived in Springfield and she and Cameron had a one night stand. When Dinah found out that he'd been cheating on her, she got involved with Alan-Michael, who was also new in town. Then Lacey left town and Cameron fell in love with Dinah again. But since he and Alan-Michael were friends, he left her alone. Soon a girl named Harley Cooper arrived in Springfield and she and Cameron started dating. Harley and Dinah became great friends.

Cameron had a father named George Stewart (played by Joe Lambie). George was involved with drugs and of course that bugged Cameron. George was always convincing Cam that he was clean and like a fool Cam believed him. George wasn't just on druggs but he was also smuggling them into the states. Dinah suspected him but Cameron didn't believe her. One night, George hit Cameron so he finally left. Dinah was looking for Cameron that night and ended up at George's house. George then kissed Dinah but she ran out of the house. Cameron felt so sorry for his dad that he moved back in again. Dinah however didn't tell Cameron about this but she did tell Harley. At this time, Harley was lying to Cameron about something. She had had a baby that she gave up for adoption but she didn't tell him because she thought that if he knew the truth, he'd leave her.

Eventually, Cameron found out that his girlfriend was lying so he finally left her. Dinah broke up with Alan-Michael and she and Cam began growing close. Cameron had learned the truth about his dad and together, he and Dinah got him arrested. Cameron then left Springfield and hasn't been back since. I personally think that Ian is a great actor and I am sure that a lot of Guiding Light fans still miss him. Ian is currently on Beverly Hills were he portrays Steve.
